Gregory R. Bean, Senior Vice President & Strategic Wealth Strategist FirstMerit Private Client Services

Greg is the Wealth Strategist for FirstMerit's Private Client Services covering all Northern Ohio regions and is a Senior Vice President of FirstMerit Corporation.

Greg is responsible for integrating the expertise of private banking, investment management, financial planning and fiduciary services to discover and meet the unique needs of current and future Wealth clients. He has spent his entire thirty-three year career with FirstMerit in the trust and investment management business. He is an advocate of a client centric business model where solutions to client needs are tailor-made and delivered by the most talented professionals in the industry.

He values integrity, working smart and always finding ways to enhance the experience of our clients. Greg holds Juris Doctor and BA degrees from The University of Akron and is an honors graduate from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, The University of Delaware. He is past President of the Akron Estate Planning Counsel and The Ohio Bankers Trust Division.

As an active community leader, Greg is Chairman of the Board of Akron AAA and the Akron-Summit Visitors and Convention Bureau. He is past Chairman of Goodwill Industries of Akron, The Akron Zoological Park, Bluecoats Inc. of Summit County, and past President of the Rotary Club of Akron. He has served on several area foundation boards - including the YMCA, Barberton Citizens Hospital, and the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Greg was also Chairman of the Building Committee to reconstruct the First United Methodist Church of Akron.
