When I first discovered my cancer, I very naively felt that I could be just like Bruce Willis' character in 'Die Hard' and that I would fight this cancer off and be victorious. However, the treatment pulled me down and 'fighting' or that mind set drained my energy.

Peter R. Osenar currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of The Emerald Health Network, Inc., a member of Interplan Health Group, Inc., and President, PPO Division, of The Parker Group, currently contracted with 2,115 hospitals, 292,732 physicians and 41,386 ancillary providers. Before this merger, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of EHN. Prior to that he was Group Executive Vice President for Ameritrust at the time of its sale to KeyBank.
During his 33 years in banking, Osenar:
- Was co-founder of the first PPOs in the Midwest, one of which was the Emerald Health Network, Inc.,
- Served on the Board of Directors of the CIRRUS Systems, an association for national and international electronic ATM and POS network interchange,
- Was active on the Steering Committee of EFTA (Electronic Funds Transfer Association) and championed their support of paperless processing for the health care industry,
- Was a co-founder of the Wharton Financial Group, a national cooperative service for interchange of research and current information dealing with human capital, and
- Served on the Advisory Board of Catalyst, a national organization focused on the advancement of women to serve as Board members of major corporations and issues in support of families in the workplace.
After Ameritrust’s merger Osenar founded his own company, Managed Care Consultants, (MCC, Inc.) serving payers and providers of health care. He has served on the Health Systems Agency of North Central Ohio and the Governor’s Task Force for Healthcare Reform. Mr. Osenar currently serves on several for-profit boards in northern Ohio. He earned a degree in Finance from Cleveland State University.
